15-17 September.
One of those classic September weekends - Saturday was sunny with a good breeze - one of the crew even went swimming
when we anchored for the evening in Carsaig Bay. We sat out having drinks in the cockpit before going ashore for
dinner at the Tayvallich Inn, which was an invigorating stroll away on the other side of the penisula. Sunday morning
was, by contrast dismally wet so we consoled ourselves with a full cooked breakfast and motored back to Ardfern
in the rain. By the evening, the sun was out again! (Perhaps a strange precursor to the next weekend.)

Back at Ardfern and some pictures which show new gear recently installed and used
for the first time this weekend. Auto-helm, which takes the boredom out of steering especially in pouring rain
or flat calm under engine, discreetly attached to the wheel, and an electric anchor windlass to put an end to ceaseless
moaning from some of the crew. Both tried out and performed well this weekend.

22-24 September.
Another classic September weekend - Saturday was sunny with a good breeze - we had a great sail down to Craighouse
on Jura - setting for the Jura Music Festival that weekend! Dined aboard and then went ashore to see what was happening.
Back on board aroound midnight. Lively night with squally breezes and lumpy swell coming into anchorage - several
yachts dragged that night but happily we were not one of them!
Sunday morning was, by contrast dismally wet so we consoled ourselves with a hearty
cooked breakfast and motor-sailed back to Ardfern in the rain with the hi-fi going full blast to keep spirits up.
By the evening, the sun was out again - rather like the previous weekend!

Heading back in the rain - was it Abba playing on the hi-fi?
